Since 1994, Rexuma has been manufacturing 100% factory-assembled, compact medical panels, with pre-installed electrical and low-voltage wiring, devices, vacuum generation systems, pipes and outlets for medical gases, as well as local and general lighting.

Rexuma has grown and established itself as a stable provider of safe and reliable medical panels, ensuring Swedish technical quality. The company has continuously developed its product range, resulting in flexible, multi-functional medical panel systems.

Key features of Rexuma medical panels:

Medical panels are used in critical areas of healthcare facilities where various communications are needed to ensure intensive care and healthcare services.

Medical panels must offer convenience and functionality for both patients and medical staff, while also being aesthetically pleasing and hygienic.

The panels facilitate connection of electrical, low-voltage, vacuum, air, medical gases, and extraction systems. They are mounted securely on the wall and may include lighting (night lights, reading lights, general lighting, examination lights), as well as systems such as nurse call, internal communication, or music listening systems.

Users of medical panels should be able to connect their necessary medical devices comfortably for communication purposes, and patients should be able to control devices that ensure their well-being and safety.

Although Rexuma medical panels are factory pre-installed and ready for installation, their design is always based on specific hospital room requirements, making them 100% customizable solutions.

Rexuma medical panels are classified as medical devices because they include gas pipe assemblies intended for medical gases supplied via the panel.

Manufacturing and Quality Assurance

Manufacturing medical panels with factory pre-installed wiring, gas pipes, outlets, and lighting ensures high quality, reduces installation time and costs, and maintains high hygiene standards.

As medical device products, Rexuma medical panels must comply with the EU Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC (MDD).
To ensure compliance, Rexuma’s entire production and assembly process involves in-house manufacturing and experienced subcontractors in Sweden.

Suppliers of components and materials for Rexuma medical panels are also experienced Swedish companies committed to quality.

Since 2017, Rexuma medical panels have received approval from RISE Sweden (ID number 0402).
(According to Swedish building and construction regulations, only products with valid RISE approval can be installed in buildings.)

Full technical documentation and Rexuma’s quality management system are required for approval.
Post-approval, RISE conducts regular audits of production, quality control, and distribution of Rexuma medical panels.

Customization and Warranty

All Rexuma medical panels are fully adaptable to the needs of each room, ensuring reliable, user-friendly, and stylish solutions.

Thanks to this, Rexuma proudly offers a 20-year warranty on its medical panels.

Installation of Medical Panels

All necessary communications — such as vacuum, air, and gas pipes — electrical and low-voltage wiring — must be prepared at the installation site.

Factory pre-installed electrical and low-voltage cables, as well as vacuum, air, or gas pipes connected to outlets on the panel, are included according to the project requirements.

Both cables and pipes are supplied with sufficient length (about 50 cm protruding from the panel) for quick and easy on-site connections.

Mounting hardware (anchors, screws) should be selected considering the panel’s weight and the possibility of additional load (e.g., mounting medical devices).

Medical panels are shipped fully finished and carefully packaged to prevent damage during transport.

Construction

The main component of the medical panel is an aluminum enclosure, which can contain several sections depending on the panel type:

  • The bottom section is designed for installing air/gas pipes and outlets.

  • It can also hold a rail for hanging medical devices.

  • The middle sections accommodate electrical and low-voltage cables and outlets.

  • The top section is used for installing lighting fixtures.
