In the Access control system, users have either an Electronic key, a Swipe card, or a Numerical access code that allows them to independently open a door, gate, or any other entrance. This is if the system administrator has previously created access rights for them in the system. This differs from an INTERCOM system, where there is a Door station, at the entrance, and the visitor can speak through it to someone in the building, who can then decide whether to allow entry through the entrance system (electric lock). The difference is thus expressed in the absence of running door communication and the possibility of automated entry. Access control systems are usually used in places that require automated management regarding the access of individuals to certain areas of the building.
